These days, many corporations are interested in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR includes things like investing in communities and protecting the environment. Such activities improve the reputations of both a company and its products. In turn, this can lead to increased financial returns. There are a number of ways companies can practice CSR. IBM, for example, is helping people participate in the World Community Grid. They have created a small program for personal computers. Whenever the computer is not in use, the program donates its computing power to the World Community Grid supercomputer. This supercomputer assists with medical research that may lead to cures for serious diseases. Then there is Starbucks. This business works together with nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of people living in communities that grow coffee. In Guatemala, for example, Starbucks has teamed up with Save the Children to bring educational programs to remote villages. Finally. some companies are created specifically to practice CSR. TOMS Shoes, founded by Blake Mycoskie, is one example. Mycoskie traveled through Argentina in 2006 and saw that many children had no shoes. Now TOMS Shoes sells shoes all over the world. For every pair they sell, they donate one pair to a child in à developing nation. They have now given away more than 35 million pairs of shoes worldwide. CSR helps companies show consumers that they are not only making profits but working to improve society. This makes the consumers more likely to choose products made by these companies. For these reasons, CSR is likely to expand in the future.

Why don't children like to eat vegetables? Don't blame them. Babies may be born with a disliking for bitter-tasting foods, which could be an instinctive defense against poisonous foods. Also, many babies, when they become toddlers, develop a fear of the new. In our cave-dwelling past, this may have protected toddlers from eating anything harmful if they wandered out of their mothers sight. Young babies can be persuaded to like bitter foods if their parents eat and enjoy bitter foods themselves. Similarly, if you want your older children to eat their greens, you should prepare them in the child's favorite way and serve them with the child's favorite sauce or dressing.

By improving accessibility of the workplace for workers that are typically at a disadvantage in the labour market, AI can improve inclusiveness in the workplace. Al-powered assistive devices to aid workers with visual, speech or hearing difficulties are becoming more widespread, improving the access to, and the quality of work for people with disabilities. For example, speech recognition solutions. for people with dysarthric voices, or live captioning systems for deaf and hard of hearing people can facilitate communication with colleagues and access to jobs where interpersonal communication is necessary. AI can also enhance the capabilities of low-skilled workers, with potentially positive effects on their wages and career prospects. For example, Al's capacity to translate written and spoken word in real-time can improve the performance of nonnative speakers in the workplace. Moreover, recent developments in Al-powered text generators can instantly improve the performance of lower-skilled individuals in domains such as writing, coding or customer service.
