Vertical gardening is the process of gardening that is done vertically or upward. While the conventional gardening process is gardening with plots on the ground, vertical gardening is a different approach to gardening as it aims to plant 5 crops in a vertical position. This can either be done through hanging plots or with frameworks. There are several advantages of vertical gardening. One, it does not take up too much space in your backyard, giving room for more crops to be planted. Two, vertical gardening is very flexible because it allows you to plant various crops in an area with limited space. It is possible for you to plant many kinds of crops if you plant each in a different pot. Three, it allows the crops to be healthier especially during summer, when heat can destroy crops planted on plots because air can easily circulate throughout your crops, helping them breathe. Also, you only have to use a small amount of fertilizers and pesticides since the pots are not very large. Most of all, vertical gardening allows you to plant a garden even in urban areas as well as in rural areas. Even in a city where garden spaces are searce, you can own a vegetable patch or a flower garden.
