In Korea, a pioneering book titled "45 Ways to Find a Purpose in Life" has been released, questioning the capability of AI to author its own work. This initiative was sparked by a Korean editor who wanted to gauge the extent of ChatGPT's abilities. Published by Snowfox Books on February 21, 2023, this marks the first officially AI-authored book in the country. Remarkably, it took only seven days from the completion of the writing to its availability for purchase, as reported by Seo Jin, the CEO and editor of Snowfox Books. The comprehensive process, which involved writing, editing, translating, and proofreading (excluding the printing and publishing stages), was accomplished within a swift 38 hours. Seo explained in a recent interview with The Korea Herald that the book was created to satisfy the curiosity of both a publisher and an editor. Notably, the book's title and chapter headings were not generated by AI; instead, Seo chose them from her compilation of unpublished ideas and projects.
